Details

* Minimum of 2 people.

Discover the Nakasendo Way, an ancient highway used within the Edo period of Japan; Nakasendo literally means "the road through the mountains". In the seventeenth century, the road was crowded with travellers, including feudal lords, samurai, itinerant merchants and pilgrims.
In modern times, the road provides a pleasant path through scenic countryside, including picturesque, old post towns on route in much the same way that the Japanese traveller of old did; which provides the history of Japan. Also included in this tour is a detour to Matsumoto Castle and the Museum of Art.
