After that, take in Gion’s unique atmosphere by taking a stroll down its preserved district’s back streets to your next destination. You might be lucky enough to spot a Maiko! Enjoy participating in a private tea ceremony and have dinner in style at a traditional Japanese inn. Gion Corner (50 min)
This tour allows you to enjoy watching/experiencing Japanese traditional performances, including Japanese traditional dance, Noh, Kyogen, Bunraku, koto, tea ceremony, Japanese traditional flower arrangement.

Gion Historical Preservation District
Participants have an opportunity to take a walk in Gion Historical Preservation District while heading for Yoshi-ima Ryokan from Gion Corner. Enjoy strolling around narrow streets with many old ochayas (Japanese-style teahouse providing meals and performances of maiko girls and geiko women).

Tea Ceremony Experience and Dinner (70 min)
Yoshi-ima Ryokan's tea ceremony room Kurenaitei offers the exclusive service of private evening tea ceremony service under candle light. Dinner will be served in Zen-style, a simple but well-balanced dietetic meal now attracting global attention.

Shojin-ryori, or Buddhist vegetarian cuisine, is served for supper, so we welcome vegetarian participants. The ingredients are Tempra (tofu, wheat sarch, tofu skin, eggplant, lotus root, ginger, shiitake mushroom and other seasonal vegetable), Miso and rice.
