PM Julia Gillard has touched down in Tokyo

PM Gillard will spend the next three days in Japan holding talks with prime minister Naoto Kan and other senior officials, on Thursday she will have an audience with Japan's emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko at the Imperial Palace and finally on Saturday she will tour some of the communities hardest hit by the tsunami.
