This Japanese-style type of wrestling dates back from ancient times and contains many ritualistic elements. Six tournaments are held each year; the Nagoya Tournament takes place from July 10 to 24.

4. Please note that during one of the following events: sumo match, ring entering procession of Makuuchi division wrestlers or Yokozuna, ritual stomping ceremony, or a speech by Sumo Association, participants will be escorted to their seat after the event is over.

Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium (180 min)
Watch sumo matches first hand in the heated stadium of Nagoya, which has been known to host some of the most unexpected matches in history.
6:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Arrive at Nagoya Station. The tour concludes upon arrival.
