Urabandai – With its high-quality powder snow!!

Urabandai is in the north of Mt. Bandai in Bandai Kogen that lies in the northern part of Fukushima Prefecture, and is part of Bandai-Asahi National Park.  With its high-quality powder snow, Urabandai Nekoma Ski Resort is perfect for everyone and especially for full-fledged skiers. The freestyle park is popular amongst snowboarders due to its rich variety of terrain features. Gran Deco Snow is the base area of the slopes which sits at an altitude of more than 1,000 meters, skiers can enjoy the great powder snow from late November through to early May.

How to get there
From Narita Airport: 5 hours by  bus
From Tokyo: 3.5 hours by train & bus
From Osaka: 6 hours by train & bus

For Nekoma Ski Resort
From Tokyo the best way to get there is to take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Koriyama, then take the shuttle bus to the ski resort is approximately 2 hours from the station.
If you stay at Urabandai Royal Hotel, change line to JR Ban-Etsu West Line to Inawashiro station.  The hotel approximately 20 minutes the station via taxi or local bus.

For Gandeco Ski Resort
From Tokyo the best way to get there is to take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Koriyama, then the JR Ban-Etsu West Line to Inawashiro station. then take the shuttle bus to the ski resort is approximately 35 minutes. or take shuttle bus from Koriyama station to the resort approximately 2 hours.

For Urabandai Ski Resort
From Tokyo the best way to get there is to take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Koriyama, change line to JR Ban-Etsu West Line to Inawashiro station, then take local bus to the Urabandai Kogen hotel. (30 minutes). Resort shuttle available from Uarabandai Kogen Hotel to Urabanda Ski Resort ( Approx. 5 minutes).
