Board a shinkansen for Nagoya. Transfer to a limited express for Takayama, an ancient, tranquil city also known as "Little Kyoto". Stroll through Takayama, visiting Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colorfully decorated traditional festival floats are displayed, Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, formerly the residence of powerful merchants under government patronage, and the streets of Kami Sannomachi, where there are preserved traditional Japanese wooden houses.
5:30-6:30 p.m. Stay at Hida Hotel Plaza.

3;00p.m.
Depart from Hida Hotel Plaza, proceed to Takayama station on foot.
Take a regular sightseeing bus to Shirakawa-go.
Enjoy Shirakawa-go illumination ( 130min)
Back to Takayama.

Walk to Takayama station*
Sightseeing will be conducted via regular sightseeing bus operated by Nohi Bus. Note that the bus will be shared with Japanese customers. Also, depending on the number of participants, a charter bus may be used.

Take a local sightseeing bus to Gokayama Ainokura (50 min)
Enjoy this mountain village that preserves the ways of life of the past.
Enjoy Japaese-style lunch in Shirakawa-go.
Savor the taste of home-style cooking that can only be experienced in regions such as this.
After lunch, enjoy a tour and time to walk around the thatched roof village on your own.
Shirakawa go to Kanazawa by local bus (75 mins)
3:15 - 6:30 p.m.
Arrive at Kanazawa, check in to your hotel.

Depart the hotel to Kanazawa morning tour, visit to Higashi Chaya district  (30 min) where Wooden-latticed exteriors of teahouses line both sides of the stone-paved street.
Tentokuin Temple  (40 min), Nagamachi Samurai District  (30 min), Kenroku-en Garden  (60 min), top three Japanese gardens and offers amazing seasonal views all year round.

One Way Trip
Proceed  to Kyoto by limited express. Drop-off service to hotels in Kyoto between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. 

Return Trip
Proceed  to Tokyo by Hikari or Kagayaki Hokuriku shinkansen ( bullet train) to Tokyo.
Drop-off service to hotels in Tokyo  between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Remarks

1. This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour.
2. If the minimum number of participants (1) is not met by 20 days before a scheduled date, the tour on the date may be cancelled.
3. Please note that no stop will be made for lunch on day-1 of the tour. Lunch is not included in the tour. We recommend purchasing lunch before departure and eating on the train.
4. Due to traffic, weather, or other operational concerns, public transportation may be used for transportation to Tokyo Station, and/or the Shinkansen from Shinagawa Station.
5. If sightseeing facilities at Takayama or Kanazawa are closed, the tour will be taken to alternative destinations.
6. Many sections of this tour are conducted on foot, so please wear shoes and clothing which are comfortable to walk in. Please bring a coat on tours from October to February as it is quite cold.
7. Transportation from Nagoya to Takayama and from Takayama to Kanazawa may be via shared expressway bus or a charter bus.
8. Sightseeing at Shirakawa-go and Gokayama thatched roof villages on Day 2 will be conducted via regular sightseeing bus operated by Nohi Bus. Note that the bus will be shared with Japanese customers. Also, depending on the number of participants, a charter bus may be used.
9. Vegetarian meals are not available for lunch at Shirakawa-go on the 2nd day.
10. Kanazawa sightseeing on Day 3 will be conducted via regular sightseeing bus operated by Hokuriku Railroad. This tour is jointly operated with Japanese customers. If Tentokuin Temple is closed, the tour will visit Kanazawa Yasue Gold Leaf Museum. Also, depending on the number of participants, public transportation may be used.
11. Tours departing Jan. 16, 23, 24, 30, 31 or Feb. 7 or 14 will visit the limited-time Shirakawa-go illumination. In such cases, the itinerary for Takayama and Shirakawa-go will be changed. On these days, Shirakawa-go will be visited on the 1st night. The visit will be via a regular sightseeing bus operated by Nohi Bus. Takayama sightseeing will be in the morning on the 2nd day, and Gokayama will not be visited; Takayama Morning Market will be visited instead. Also, in the case that the Shirakawa-go illumination regular sightseeing bus service is suspended, the normal itinerary will be followed. No refunds will be provided in such cases.

(Tokyo Departure One Way Plan)
On Day-1, large baggage such as suit cases will be transported from Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal to hotels in Kyoto City by truck. Note that large baggage will not be taken to hotels in Takayama or Kanazawa. Please bring an overnight bag packed for 2-nights. (One article of standard size luggage per customer will be transported free of charge. Any additional items will incur at fee of JPY 2,200 per article, which will need to be paid on the morning of departure at Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal.) In addition, luggage can only be sent to hotels, and the delivery service is only available for guests staying at each hotel. Luggage cannot be sent to private residences.
(Tokyo Departure Round Trip)
1. Customers will carry their own baggage. There is not much space on the Shinkansen or bus, so we recommend leaving large items such as suitcases at your hotel in Tokyo.
2. The hotel drop-off that departs from Tokyo Station will service hotels located within the Tokyo 23 special wards area. At the time of booking, please inform us of the name of the hotel at which you would like to be dropped-off.

(Kyoto Departure One Way Trip)
