Visit some of Kyoto's most exquisite landmarks! Walk through specialty shops on the way up to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, from which you can get a sweeping view of the city. Visit Kodai*ji Temple, which features richly decorated interiors and is surrounded by a beautiful Zen Garden. Also visit Yasaka Shrine, one of the most famous shrines in Kyoto, and disband in Gion District, Kyoto's most famous Geisha district.

1:35pm: Assemble at Nippon Travel Agency in Kyoto Station.
You will then board a public bus from Kyoto station to Higashiyama area. This tour involves substantial walking over the steep terrain.
Kiyomizu-dera Temple (30 min) This architecturally unique temple has a main hall on a steep slope with a wooden platform supported by pillars, from which a panoramic view of Kyoto can be enjoyed.
Kodai-ji Temple (15 min) Temple commemorates Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a great general in 16th century. It was founded by his widow.
Yasaka Shrine (10 min) Well know n as the central site for the Gion-Matsuri Festival held in summer.
Gion District Gion is one of the famous entertainment and geisha quarters, with traditional restaurants and tea-houses. In the Edo period, ochaya (geisha houses) were built in this area. It still retains its tranquil, old fashioned-charm
